Eat Mielies
Mielies is a South African word for corn on the cob.
When Kim reflects on this, she gets homesick and thinks of her mom.
Because Mom always heartily tossed the yellow cylinders across the dining table (and in the process, happily ruined an occasional piece of crockery).

Regardless of this little anecdote, Kim started her illustration business while actually studying music.
Eat Mielies was therefore pretty much what you'd call an accident.
The kind of greeting card Kim would have loved to buy back then simply didn't exist.
So she got to work herself – and everyone was a fan.
Except maybe Mom, because Mom was appalled.

Eat Mielies celebrates the peculiarities of human bodies, sometimes cats, but primarily penises, vulvas, boobies, and so on.
